Humans populate a majority of the land. Being able to prosper just about anywhere is one of thier higher abilities. The only place where they are not in large numbers is in the Elf kingdoms far to the south of Tremain. Elf In the begining the elves rule most of the land. Wars of ideals and theories were fought and lost. After some time a peace settled and most of the elves converged to a single area and a few elven nations were born. After seeing what humans and the other races do to the forest they closed most of thier borders and generally do not allow many to enter thier kingdoms. A few elves from this area leave to see the land. Wizards and sorcerers are more notable as they do research on new spells. Druids and worshipers of Tinara and Do'Sek leave to try and rescue what forest they can. They also attempt to go out and teach. There is a few groups of elves that travel the land attempting to teach and inspire nature to keep strong. Some elves remember a time when the elemental Gods were not there and it was just Do'Sek. Some of them are bitter at Do'Sek for stepping down and spreading out her power. One group called Sandaer consider themselves the true ones. They worship Tinara. They look down upon anyone who uses a plant for food or a use that is waste. They eat only meat. They have been known to sometimes raid a area that is destroying the land in great amounts. Half-Orc So I heard this joke. What do you get when you combine half a orc with half a dwarf? I dont know but I bet it would be a lot uglier than normal. Halfling Small little fellows noone knows where they orginate from. Someone thought they are the result of a human and dwarf. Perhaps even a Elf and a dwarf. Though neither can be verified halflings sometimes claim they were the orginal race. These can be found throughout the land. Sometimes a village will have a family or two. Some cities have a halfling district. The only place they do not enjoy a large population is the wizard kingdom and the elven nations. The elves though kind also know the popular opinion of halflings and thier sticky fingers so often key a eye on them or the guards will keep them out of some places that others can go. Dwarf Found in mountains. A few roam the land. Mostly worshipers of Duktar as they search looking around. Not all types of stone are found in the ground. Other races Will add other races that can be found. Mostly sticking to races in the monster manual and will allow gensai from the forgotten realms book. |
