Leaving Kasta early in the morning the group heads northward. An occasional word with old acquaintances as they travel to their destination. As they journeyed for several days they came to a corpse in the woods. A man that appears to have been attacked by wild animals. The corpse was interesting as the bone above the feet do not appear to have been gnawed by animals. The bone was clean and white plus the man had some well made boots that were not damaged in any way. As they tried following some tracks they came across a small building where the tracks ended. A window near the rear of the building. They traveled around and knocked on the door demanding to know answers but were blown off by a busy old man. They kept knocking while Kiershoun wandered around the back and climbed onto the roof. The door opened and Jack was blasted with a acid arrow and combat ensued. It quickly ended with the old man dropping a explosive acid ball collapsing the house onto Grenwalis and Kiershoun. Kier quick on his feet leapt through the window. Afterwards they searched the house and found detailed plans on some sinister traps involving acid. After making sure the area was clear they headed out into the woods and setup camp. Kiershoun crouched in a tree spotted an undead raven flying around and fired upon it. After waking the group and taking chase they killed the bird and were finally able to settle to sleep. Still on watch for the wizard to reappear they got up in the morning and headed along towards the tower. Later during the day they came across a small village with no name. There they find out the name of their quarry and that the wizard Lord Simmons and his friends help protect this little village. They find out the tower that was built is owned by a Lord Daniel Intrea. They headed up to the tower and its impressive 15 foot walls surrounding it. They were met by a guard holding an equally impressive heavy flail. After brief introduction they find out the young man cannot read so he calls the master of the house down. Greeted with open arms they are given a brief tour of the place. During which the door to the tower opens and they see the wizard they encountered the previous night. The wizard closes the door and the small tour continues to the guest house. There they attack their host and tie him up under a bed. After checking to make sure the coast is clear they entered the tower and see their friend the wizard and a certain female figure they have encountered previously. Also a huge black swirling mass stood in the way. Seeking to stop the female figure Kiershoun rushes in and attacks her leaving Jack to face the swirling mass. Leonard disappears and Grenwalis seeking to block escape disappears to reappear outside the tower. The large swirling mass attacks Jack and with a powerful hit that seems to also age Jack. Kiershoun drops the woman and she turns into dust then Kiershoun and Jack try to pull down this swirling mass. Outside of the tower Grenwalis engages battle with Leonard and the guard. Using his rings to move him out of harms reach he is able to also keep from getting hurt too badly. When Jack and Kiershoun finally pull down the swirling mass they go out to help their dwarven friend. During the combat Leonard fled using a teleport and disappearing from everyone's sight leaving the group with the guard. Kiershoun disarms the guard and as he is ready to give up from up in the sky a large acid ball bursts and burns everyone except Kiershoun who is unscathed while the flail glows with an eerie green light. Thinking quickly Kiershoun is able to spot an invisible person and tells Grenwalis to transport him 70 feet up. As they both appear up in the air Kiershoun pushes himself off Grenwalis and attacks the invisible figure. With furious strikes he is able to knock the figure down to the ground while he and Grenwalis float slowly. Once they got to the ground Kiershoun attacks the body and in his own way deals with the death of his friend. Grenwalis gets their captive and takes a longer tour of the tower but does not attempt to meddle with it. Along the way he talks to the man who is distraught over the loss of his friend and the disappearance of his wife. Kiershoun breaks a hole into the solid stone and digs a hole for Jack after removing his magical items. He then buries him where he fell. When Grenwalis gets back from his tour he leaves their captive gagged and in the guest house. Through more questioning they found out David was misguided rather than evil. They try to convince him that his wife was evil and he was being used to further sinister goals. When asked about his most powerful spell he informed them of his fondness for Magic Missile spell. When asked what his most difficult spell to cast was he uttered a single word, "kizzerwits" After he finished the word he disappeared taking the bonds with him. Later on as Grenwalis and Kiershoun were mourning their friend, David appears without anything binding him. He stood there now convinced of his betrayal. After talking to Grenwalis and Kiershoun some more he offered to take them to Taigen then he will go to the head of his order and find out why some people are sacrificing others unwillingly for his cause. He also explains that he has stood in the blue light and it drained him of life and strength but he survived through what he thought was his faith. He also refused to destroy his tower however he could stop the transfer of power. He did not believe that Michael knew what was happening outside of his town. Also that he would notify the group as to Michael's ill or good will.
